Perfect location. Perfect size room. The staff were friendly and helpful. Everything was lovely and clean. They had one of those old time lifts where you have to close the gate and door behind you. Very comfortable stay, and yummy breakfast. If the shower in our bathroom worked properly, the word I would've used would've been perfect.

well we thought this would be a romantic break oh no, the room was smelly, the beds i think were made by a 5 yr old it wsa chucked together duvet not on properly bottom sheet not tucked in. The walls and carpet were filthy and outdated. We had a complaint the woman owner geraldine was rude and arrogant she shouted and was very intimidating.The room we was in was very noisy and not nice. Breakfast nice. Geraldine you need training in customer care!!!!!!! Wouldnt recomend go down the seafront.

The hotel is an old building full of character. We received a quick friendly check in with all the hotels facilities explained. Free ample parking to the rear. Comfortable spotless room with a large bathroom. Breakfast was excellent with great service. Location was perfect for us, its close to the town centre and about a 10 minute walk to the sea front. Will definitely be returning.

Lots of character to this place. The staff were very helpful indeed. Breakfast was excellent. Room and bathroom were good and clean, except that the curtains in the room were white and glowed in the morning. However, the corridor floors are very wonky (but it's a very old hotel) and the carpets in the corridors are very worn - in fact the carpet tapes that stick the carpets down have even worn off. Also, can't understand why such places insist on using the vilest smelling disinfectant in the gents toilets that then wafts through the corridors but this happens in many establishments. Great location, ample parking around the back where you'll also find the Mariner's pub that does excellent bar food. Overall, pleasantly satisfied with the one night were were there.
