This is the first time my friend and I had gone to Great Yarmouth for a seaside break We both live at different destinations and decided to have a short holiday. I can't tell you how much we were made welcome. You are greeted by May the lady who owns it with John her husband. We had a brilliant time at their 'Turkey and Tinsel' We thoroughly enjoyed it - as did all the guests we travelled with. I can recommend it to anyone. Thankyou again for a wonderful holiday. We would certainly like to go again next year.

Room Tip: They were all good rooms and very warm. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a very enjoyable...

“A Great Place to Stay”

We’ve just returned from our third stay at the Hotel Victoria.

On this occasion we stayed in the newly built Albert Wing and were very pleased with our room which was obviously recently decorated, had a comfortable bed with bath, power shower, toilet and an lcd tv on the wall.

It’s literally a 2 minute walk away from the sea front and Pleasure Beach. Good evening entertainment on the Friday and Saturday night that we were there and all the guests in the Lounge (which was packed full) had a really good laugh playing Bingo too.

The owners John and May are very accommodating and will do anything they can to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Breakfast is plentiful with a selection of cereals, fruit juices followed by toast, tea or coffee and then they offer a full English breakfast as well. The plates are quite small but should you require more you just have to ask for extra. One of the evening meals was a home-cooked authentic Thai Green Curry, made by May (who is from Thailand) and was as good as any Thai Restaurant we’ve eaten at!

If you are looking for a 5 star luxury hotel, this may not be the hotel for you but if you’re looking for good old fashioned customer service with friendly staff and everything you need for an enjoyable stay at a reasonable price in Great Yarmouth, this is definitely worth a go! Needless to say, we will be going back!

“"Opportunity stay"”

We hadnt made a reservation for a hotel as at the last minute ended up in Great Yarmouth. We seen the sign for the Victoria and went to have a look. We were shown a room which overlooked the road, it was clean and tidy and decided to take it for the night. We had a couple of drinks in the bar at very reasonable prices in the evening. The following morning at breakfast we decided to stay another night and spoke to May which it was not a problem. All in all you get what you pay for. The rooms and the decor of the Hotel in parts may be out dated (during our stay renovation of the lounge, bar and dining areas just started) but its clean and comfortable and you are made to feel very welcome.

Value for money Yes .We are group of 25 and have returned from a long weekend at the Victoria hotel. A GOOD WEEKEND WAS HAD BY ALL The owners Dave and May were very welcoming and the staff very friendly. The food was good and served hot. If we wanted more it was available you only have to ask. The hotel was clean, tidy, kept warm and adequate. Some rooms could do with an update. And I believe that this will happen in the future. The entertainment was ok and we made the most of it. Overall a very friendly clean and welcoming hotel Well done and thank you to all your staff. Tommy & Mo Cooper
