This was our second trip to Orkney, and we stayed with the Websters both time. My cousins, uncle, and I highly recommended La'vrockha. It is centrally located near the Highland Distillery.
On our first trip, three of us stayed in the family room, which is large and spacious. On our second trip, my uncle was older and had recently had surgery, so he and one cousin stayed downstairs in a lovely room that has been adapted for handicap use while my other cousin and I stayed upstairs. The walk-in shower was a treat for my uncle, who had hip replacement and partial knee replacement. At other B&Bs he had to climb into bathtubs to shower.
We loved the enlarged dining area, and all the guests were friendly. We arrived fairly late the first night, but John was very accommodating and waited up for a couple who were even later as they were coming on the ferry from the northern islands. John was also quite happy to to chill our wine for us.
