Fantastic hotel. Staff were great and really friendly and welcoming. Room was lovely, clean, warm and a very inviting. Evening meal in the conservatory was lovely. Breakfast was tasty. Would stay here again without hesitation as nothing was too much trouble and was really good value for money.

Just back from Somerton for New Year. We keep going back Alec and Brian are great hosts Shona the waitress gives great service and chat it's great going back to a place where staff never changes the New Year party was brill had a great family band this year sang music to keep all ages happy little piper that piped the New Year in was spot on Home now in Barnsley but booked our rooms for next year Mrs abbott

Living locally to the Somerton Hotel, I have never had need to stay at the hotel overnight, but having used their restaurant regularly, I would recommend them as good value, excellent cuisine and exceptionally friendly staff. They have always been attentive towards the needs of my elderly mother which is appreciated. My family and I have just enjoyed an excellent and memorable Christmas Day, compliments of the Somerton Hotel.

We stayed at the Somerton House Hotel by chance. The RAC ensured we had hotel accomodation when our car broke down on the motorway near Lockerbie. We had no idea that we would be in such an amazing place. The bedroom was palatial with a four poster bed, 40 inch TV and ensuite bathroom with a jacuzzi bath. We enjoyed a first class meal of superbly cooked steak from the owners own beef herd in beautifully decorated surroundings. The owner and staff made us very welcome until our replacement car arrived the following day. We will very likely stay again.
