Very quit.
A bit oldfachion, but you feel really at home.

6 of us stayed one night on a trip up to the highlands. Frances and Andrew were absolutely wonderful hosts and the house and surrounding area has so much charm. My two daughters and one friend had a great time with the chickens, dogs and horse; and i have to thank Frances and Andrew who put up with our dog arriving too even though they don't cater for pets (I somehow got to this B&B through a pet friendly web site but in fact they never registered on that site; so please don't ask expect them cater for dogs for your trip!). I myself had some incredible conversations with Andrew over the Jardine family and Hong Kong, where I used to live, and the dining room pictures and books tell a thousand stories. I would thoroughly recommend staying there. This is real people in a real country house with amazing character(s).

We are visiting Corrie Lodge for the third time this August, and both times we have been before (in 2007 and 2008) we have been made to feel really welcome by Frances and Andrew Spence who are the most charming of hosts and treat their guests as part of the family. The location, just a short drive from Lockerbie, is convenient and picturesque, the food is top quality and generous, and the rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. I really cannot recommend Corrie Lodge highly enough!

An old hunting lodge, a bit of a time capsule! We were given a very warm welcome and an excellent breakfast. Very tranquil & pleasant surroundings. The only sound being the birds.
