Stayed overnight here or work (Feb 8th) on the recommendation of a colleague, as I usually stay at the Victoria when visiting Lowestoft. Must say I will definitely be booking this hotel for future visits! The place has a very homely feel about the place, and doesn't come across as a lifeless chain type hotel. Welcome and Check in was nice and easy, the room itself was ideal - very clean, decent sized, plenty of wardrobe/drawer space, bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom was adequately sized, and I much preferred the double shower instead of the usual shower over bath; there was hardly any noise from the other rooms nearby either. We didn't eat in the hotel in the evening as a couple of us fancied an Indian that night so just drove a couple of miles up the road to a recommended place; but the breakfast in the morning was lovely! We did spend time in the bar after eating, and watched the match on TV. Thought the bar was excellent, decent stock of varying beers and lagers, a nice atmosphere and a real pub feel to it.
