Just returned from a long weekend away and very very disappointed we have stayed in a few Macdonald hotels and have been very happy with the level of service and quality of rooms/facilities. However this one is terrible, very poor if not rude service in the restaurant and run-down shabby rooms. As for the 'spa' aspect of the hotel I am shocked at poor quality of it all, there is mold growing all around the swimming pool, which was very cold, the steam room is in need of a really good clean - very sub standard. My wife booked in for a manicure and massage and was very unhappy with the result. Very very disappointed, feel cheated out of my money. Will be returning to Careys Manor Hotel in future.

Thank you for your review of our establishment, we were sorry to read that on this instance we could not meet your expectations. I was very surprised at your comments, as you can witness on the website although we cannot meet all of our guest expectations in terms of room lay out, the quality of cleanliness and the friendliness of our team do get mentioned very regularly. I inspect personally our leisure facilities and have not recently witnessed mould around the swimming pool. Also our steam rooms are deep cleaned every evening by a qualified cleaning company then checked by our Leisure Manager. We will monitor the premises on extra bases to ensure of no further guests disappointment.
We cannot find any booking for a manicure and massage under the name of Sarah J however if you would like to share your constructive feedback in order to enable me to investigate more thoroughly please do not hesitate to contact me personally.
