Despite the fact that Caroline had forgotten we were coming, her welcome was professional and the room was ready. The only problem being that we had booked evening meal with her that she could not longer accomodate as she had not been shopping for us. Mondays did indeed prove difficult to find somewhere to eat, as suspected, in winter months. The room was enormous, however the en-suite was small in comparison, this may be due to the age of the building. Breakfasts, as mentioned by others, were excellent. Caroline was very helpful, and the animals friendly and not obtrusive.

Many thanks for taking the time to review Lea House. As you say, I had neglected to transfer your booking of a few days before, from the computer to the diary - first time in 20 years that has ever happened, and I hope it will be the last.
As you correctly said, fitting en suite bathrooms into 16th centure buildings can be a trial but I am glad you enjoyed the large bedroom.
Mondays can be tricky to find places to eat, especially in the country, but I did point that out and suggest several places that are open and serve excellent food. Unfortunately, just heading out on spec can lead to a less than perfect experience, more is the shame.
Still, I do hope you may be persuaded to come to the area again, and give me another go, and this time I promise I will cook dinner for you.
best wishes
