“Pleasant”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 October 2009

After you go through the housing estate a lovely individual setting. It's about a 15 minutes walk from Salcombe which is easy going there, downhill, but make sure you have a few drinks cause its a bit harder coming back. The weekend we stayed was a bust one, the weather was good so accommodation was hard to find. We were put into there smallest double room which was clean and tidy but - small. Owners very friendly, breakfast standard stuff was ok. A pleasant stay. We paid £65 per night

“Beadon Farmhouse B&B”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 June 2007

My boyfriend and I visited Salcombe in June 2007. After a long search of hotels and B&B's in the area we went with the Beadon Farmhouse as it looked the nicest B&B in the area. We werent wrong.
The Farmhouse was lovely and the rooms were nice to stay in. The breakfast went down well every morning and the price was very reasonable. The only downside was that we felt like we were too young to be there, the vibe of the building was like you were staying in your parents house and you had to be on 'best behaviour' at all times... but i guess if thats the only bad point it isnt that bad.

Tips for salcombe:

We wanted a traditional Cream Tea and we 1st went to the Marine Hotel, this place was over prices and the scones were BURNT.... Aviod. 6/10 (just for the view)
Go to the Cafe in the back of Crew Clothing, cant remember the name, but the cream tea was perfect and you get great views of the harbour. 10/10

We went for dinner in the Boatmans or Boathouse, i cant rememeber the exact name but that is because we didnt stay very long. The food was rubbish but the smiley waitress made it almost bearable. 4/10
We had a totally amasing meal in Catch, This place is a little gem. It was very busy when we went and we ordered lots of fish dishes as it all looked so good.... and we were not disapointed. The food was amasing, the wine was great and the service was lovely. All in all Catch was a great choice. 9/10

We stopped into Tides Reach Hotel on a walk past the beaches. This place looked as bad as the trip advisor reviews said it would... totally old fashioned, miles out and over priced. The lovely Polish waitress was sweet but its praticarly an old peoples home.... stay clear under 50's!!! 0/10

After our initial stop pff point (Tides Reach) we decided we couldnt have lunch there (soggy sarnies), so we walked on to the Winking Prawn.... This place was worth the extra walk. The good was good, the location was amasing, the staff were vibrant and the fellow patrons werent coffin dodgers. We didnt get to sample the famous bbq but apparently its a real treat. 8/10
