I stayed at Cavendish for several months with business, but finally had to give up on it. Some of the rooms are really appalling, even for the price. Although that said, the room on the top floor is really rather nice. And every room has a new bathroom. However, the public areas of the hotel are run down, and most rooms have saggy beds, and threadbare carpets. Not to mention threadbare curtains and windows with paint peeling off them and TVs that don't work. The evening food is ok, but breakfast leaves an awful lot to be desired, often nothing is set up when you arrive, the table cloths are filthy, service performed by staff in their pyjamas, and consistently burnt toast. In summary, its very cheap, but in my opinion its still not value for money.
