Arrived very late but was welcomed in a very friendly way. The room was cosy, quite and spotless clean. Breakfast prepared at request and good choice of ingredients. In summary, a Nice surprise in the English countryside.

We stayed for a night for a nearby family function. Reception service was excellent and bar and restaurant staff well-drilled too. Newly refurbished rooms on first floor with good furniture, flat screen tvs, iPod docks, tea tray and sparkling bathrooms (lovely towels) all far better than expected. Public rooms are pleasant with wood fires and assorted equine bits and pieces, and pleasant gardens.
Main restaurant menu a big quotidian but bar food good if slightly toppy pricing: £11 burger was good but not £11 good.
Breakfast very good too with wide choice (FEB, kippers, haddock, eggs benedict, pancakes).
Management and staff obv trying very hard. Would recommend and would return

We were pleasently surprised by the visit, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the restaraunt was impressive though without starters the main is a long wait, though the quality and care with the food completely got rid of any dissapointment at the wait. The only let down was the bed, though beautiful, 4 poster it was very very noisy, sounded as though the bed was about to fall apart, we stayed in the kilmore room, everything else was wonderful but the bed was a real let down, squeaky and very hard. The atmosphere of the lounge and resteraunt is lovely, we would stay again,t hough probably request a different room!.

We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough for a wedding. We booked a 3pm wedding service in their ceremony room plus wedding breakfast for 24 and an evening reception for 45. The staff were fantastic with every attention to detail that could be thought of. The food was very good and despite quite a few people eating different meals which had been pre-ordered no mistakes were made. Shirley deserves an extra special mention for thinking of everything well in advance and making sure everything was perfect. We left after the evening reception but our guests stayed for the night and all were delighted with their rooms and particularly their breakfast which we are told was fantastic. Many thanks again to all the staff who made our day so perfect.
