“Very friendly Service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012 via mobile

Very good hotel.

Staff always friendly and check-in very smooth and quick - normally is ready.
Room excellent size. Free Internet access. Clean. Good air con system. comfortable beds.

Main positive points: loads of parking and an outstanding health club. Proper sized pool that you would not expect in a hotel, sauna, steam room, whirlpool, good selection of cardio and weight equipment. Good selection for breakfast.

Negative points: evening meal selection is limited, can be expensive for the quantity they provide. Just as well supermarket next door to top up on snacks!

“Spa Weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

This was our first visit to the Ashford International. The room was comfortable with ample space, the beds were really comfortable. Plenty of coffee and tea. We were able to check in just after 11am which was a bonus. Our treatments were fab and enjoyed using the spa facilities. However two of my friends attended a Pilates class on the Saturday morning and they said the temperature in the room was freezing which spolit it a little.
The food which was included in our deal was delicious, the only disappointment was our table for dinner was booked for 8.15 and we did not get served till 9.15pm and was still waiting for my main course at 10.00pm. The staff did give us a complimentary drink which was nice. Breakfast in the morning was fab, nice hot and lots of it! We absolutely enjoyed our stay, it was too celebrate my 50th birthday, which I thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend the hotel to friends and family.

Dear floridasmith

Thank you for choosing Ashford International Hotel to celebrate your special birthday and a belated happy birthday from us! I’m sorry to hear that you had to wait for your meals in the evening but on a positive note I’m pleased that the team gave you a drink by way of an apology and that you enjoyed a hearty breakfast the next morning. Thanks again and we look forward to welcoming you back again soon. Kind Regards Deirdre Billing, General Manager

“Ideal for a weekend break”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

This was our first visit to the Ashford International. The hotel is very bright and airy. We upgraded our room for £30 and it was well worth it for the extra space. Our room was well furnished ,clean and very comfortable.

The bathroom was decent size with nice toiletries. We also had tea and coffee making facilities and a small bottle of wine and beer in the fridge.

There are plenty of places to sit and have a coffee/drink if you don't want to sit in the bar. We stayed on a one night package which included 2 free treatments in the spa. The pool is decent size and fairly warm. The steam room and sauna are excellent. The only disappointment was the jacuzzi which for the size of the hotel is rather small and can fit only about 4 people. The hotel was busy when we visited and we couldn't get in jacuzzi!

The treatment area is very nice and the rooms are spotlessly clean. The treatments are very good and you can purchase the products if you wish.

All the staff are nice and the service is very good although I don't think I would like to visit it the hotel was full. The pool was busy during the day becuase the spa had an open weekend for members to bring in friends/family for free. If we had known this beforehand we would have chosen a different date.

There are not enough staff on the check in desk or in the coffee bar which meant we had a long wait for our lunch to arrive and a few people complained.

Overall a good reasonable weekend break. We only booked one night and wished we had stayed for two. Would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Choose a room on a higher floor. And if you can afford it pay for a upgrade, its worth it.

“Weekend away”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

This is a firm favourite of ours as it is only about an hour from home so we can maximise our time relaxing and spending time together. We were not disappointed and although there was a change in staff from our last visit all were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Our room was clean and well maintained and we both had a very good nights sleep. The spa was a bit busy on the Sat & Sun due to the spa package deals but as we were there till the Monday we had a very relaxing experience before we checked out.

“Great hotel and very nice staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

Myself and partner stayed at the Ashford International for the whole weekend. Initially upon arrival our room was not quite ready when we arrived at 3.30 (check in was from 3pm) so we made other plans to do some shopping instead at the local outlet.

On our return our room was ready and we was given directions, however before we could get there a manager named Miles saw us wondering and was very helpful and offered to show us around the hotel and mainly to the spa facilities. He made enquiries and was a great help in making our stay more smooth, and stated we could call a direct number if we needed any assistance. We got to our room and it was lovely, very nice and clean. Our stay was lovely and relaxing, in great surroundings.
Breakfast was nice and the there was a lot of assistance from john and Samantha (i think thats her name) in the dining area. However my partner thought the evening meal was on the small side although it was enough for a petite woman like myself. Gym and spa facilities were nice although the Jacuzzi was on the small side.

Overall a lovely place to take a break with warm welcoming staff who make it a pleasureable experience
