If you're looking for value for money in a clean, comfortable hotel in this area of the country then you can't go wrong with the Premier Inn, Banbury. Book in advance and you get the better prices. We stayed for one night (me and my husband and my elderly parents) and we were all pleasantly surprised. A restaurant attached to the hotel gives basic pub food which was fine. Just 28 miles from Stow on the Wold providing a good starting point to explore the Cotswolds.

We had a very good experience all round - easy check in, extremely helpful and friendly staff. The room was very clean and just what we have come to expect from Premier Inn. Unfortunately we weren't able to get a cheap deal on the room rate but at £66/night it still is pretty good value for money.

Nice rural location in a quiet area. This was our second visit after enjoying our first visit earlier this year. This time it was a bit of a disappointment, not helped by the exceptionally unfriendly receptionist who took exception to a request for more towels. Older rooms are cramped and feel claustrophobic but the newer ones are much brighter and more spacious. Breakfast in the adjoining Wobbly Wheel is a noisy affair with Radio 1 blaring out and serving staff are scruffy and look bored.
