I end up staying here a couple of times a year due to business meetings held by the company that employs me at this location - car parking is a bit of a lottery when it's busy - the hotel is welcoming enough - fairly well presented - the food is good - breakfast very good - sleep quality - dire. I was in a room above where the smokers gather outside the bar - I am trying to sleep and they just want to smoke and loudly chat - not conclusive to good sleep - it get's worse when they decide at 02.00 hours to go to bed - in the room next to me - they are too drunk to make any noise and are soon in a slumber - leaving their bathroom light on - which turn maintains the power to the bathroom fan - and in turn sounds like a hovercraft running through the false ceiling in my room ! Never again I shall drive the 100 miles home next time.

We stayed on a Tuesday night and the hotel seemed full with business people. The car park was almost full and difficult to park in some bays. Our room overlooked the front of the htoel and you could hear the noise form the road, although the windows were closed.
The restaurant only had one person eating it when we entered. We waited and waited but no-on came to meet or seat us (6 in total), so we left and went outside to a nearly Indian Restaurant, which had a special Tuesday deal and it was excellent!
The bed was too soft - I have never known one quite like it in all my hotel stays!
The good thing about the hotel was breakfast. We needed to be out of the hotel very early and the cooked breakfast was served very quickly and it was most enjoyable.

Stayed at this hotel with my Wife as part of an annual reunion weekend. From the time we checked in until we left, everything was excellent; accommodation, food, bar, service, I could go on and on but it boils down to the fact that the all the staff were exceptional. As organiser of the reunion weekend ( and we have arranged numerous yearly reunions in different parts of the country), I can say that this was the best ever - everyone without exception agreed. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel - it was really outstanding.

I have stayed at this hotel with a group of friends for many years and we have nothing but praise for the service and friendlyness of the staff. Food is an important consideration and the quality both at dinner and breakfast was of a very high standard, even though we had to make our own toast!
