Visual Amenity:
First impressions on approach were good. Hotel is surrounded by roads, but stills very quiet once in your room. 

Parking:
Car parking was plentiful. It looks full until about 21:00 hrs because of the adjoining pub, but that does clear.

Receptionists and Welcome:
Receptionists were polite, helpful & friendly. 

Room and Cleanliness:
Room was very clean. Bed very comfy. Nice sized tv. Tea and coffee.

Bathroom:
The bathroom was a bit of a squeeze. Shower needed updating. Needs stripping out & re-fitting. 

Misc.
Wi-Fi: thirty minutes free. Though it appears that you have to agree to Premier Inn spam in your inbox to get it. 
Breakfast: didn't have
Restaurant: attached brewers fayre. 
Bar: pub in grounds. Looked OK. Busy until ten. 
General Service Levels: very good. 

Summary.
Good value. Would I stay again? Yes

the staff were very helpfull, happy and obliging in my needs, the room was clean and fresh

we stayed here for a family party in southend on sea, which is less than 10 miles away. we stayed with 2 adults, a toddler and an infant in a family room. room was a suitable size. my only complaint is (and this always seems to happen with PremierInns!) that they only seem to give enough towels for barely 2 adults, not a family of 4!? very clean, staff very friendly. Breakfast was extremely slow and it isnt a big restaurant nor that busy, we waited over half an hour for food. good job we werent in a hurry.....
really conveniently located right on the exit of the main A road through Basildon./Rayleigh to Southend... plenty of stuff near by, a harvester restaurant next door or a toby carvery a bit further down the road & a sainsbury's across the road....
the day we arrived we had dinner next door in the harvester. We arrived there just after 5 and had to queue out the door! (it was a Saturday, but still..... a queue at a Harvester at 5pm!?) If you are in a rush and want to eat at the harvester next door, either go early or late, and prepare to wait. Food was good, service was awful. But that's a whole other story!
would stay here again if we next travel to Southend On Sea.

I stayed at this hotel as it was my sister's 40th and I live 70 miles away, she already had a houseful of friends to stay!
The booking process was easy and I received a text confirmation with the booking ref and postcode of hotel for sat nav but also asked if i wanted to download directions which were excellent.
The staff were very helpful and efficient, the hotel was modern, clean and thankfully quiet!
We stayed in the first double room behind reception, so I was a little worried about the noise, especially as the hotel is adjoining a busy large pub and it was Dec 23rd! I needn't have worried, the room was very quiet and we had a peaceful night's sleep in the wonderful comfortable beds with crisp firm fluffy bedding.
The staff called us a good local taxi service and were polite and efficient.
I will stay at Premier Inns again and particularly this hotel!
