From start to finish, everything was organic and as nature intended. So much love and passion has been injected into the B&B and it is evident in every little detail. Gorgeous homemade bread made by Niki, honey from the farms own beehives, fresh eggs from the resident chickens and lets not forget the walls themselves...built by John.
The farm really is a family business and the children were extremely welcoming and made us feel part of the Ty Myndd family, enthusiastically introducing us to all its members, including Jemima the Puddle Pup (who we were sad to leave behind).
The breakfasts were delicious and full of flavour. My partner, a self confessed salt-oholic, didn’t reach for the stuff once!!! A great selection of quality teas were available in the rooms and fresh water from the farms natural spring.
The bedroom was light, spacious and lovingly decorated, with lovely views of the farm. The bed itself was extremely comfortable, with quality bedding and a lovely scent of lavender.
Location wise, it was perfect! In fact we drove around most of the mountains and found the views at the B&Bs own back door were the most breathtaking. Remember to bring a camera as no one would believe just how beautiful this little slice of heaven is!
In terms of value for money, I actually think Niki and John are too modest. The quality of the service, food and accommodation far exceeds the £85 pn (peak) and I would happily pay a lot more.
We were so sad to leave, we took a little piece of the farm with us and loaded up with some of Niki and Johns fresh produce. The lamb in particular was lush (as the locals would say) and enabled one of my best roasts yet, not surprising then they are now supplying Waitrose.
All in all, my partner and I fell in love with this little rural hide away and charming family and can not wait to stay again…
