on arrival we were welcomed with great hospitality,then were shown to our room instead of just being directed,told about the heating and advised not to turn it off-- in case we got cold in the night. The room was very acceptable large and comfy,very spacious bathroom too.The bed was so comfortable.We ate in the hotel 2 nights and were very satisfied with the food,the cooked breakfast kept us going most of the day. We enjoyed being able to sit in the lounge after our meal instead of having to go back to our room.---A really lovely stay in a really nice and friendly hotel,that we would recommend and will re-visit at sometime.------ we would have liked a bigger t.v.though.

I cant think of anything bad to say about this hotel.
Staff were lovely, they took us up to our room and showed us where lights were, heating and all that.
We had dinner in the bar, yummy!!!!
They really just could not have been nicer.
We slept SO well in our big,clean comfy bed.
Breakfast...well... amazing, service was perfect, not a huge lot to choose from but it was yummy, huge jug of yummy coffee, lots and lots of yummy seeded and white toast, butter and jam, we sat for ages enjoying the coffee and toast looking at the river, that was after fruit,yohgurt and cereal selection, and then cooked breakfast (vegi for me)
fyi big range of food in bar and all very good, lots for vegis.
And very doggy friendly although obviously not in the dining room.
COOP across the road was handy !

This hotel has been recently refreshed and our stay here was a truly refreshing break, with the twin room (16) overlooking the river, and private car park, very spacious. The staff were really friendly and the food served great too. Hotel has become pet-friendly too (a bonus for me!) with dogs allowed in all areas except dining room. The "Bar" is more a lounge bar with cosy fire when needed where food can be served while dogs remain with owners. Price was also reasonable....will defo go back!

Nice hotel with friendly sfaff,very good menu.the room however was a bit basic and small.
I understand that the rooms facing the river are larger.Would have no hesitation in recommending as a good old fashioned hotel
