Spent a 2 day trip to Dunoon and with out a doubt this is the hotel to stay in. All the staff are very helpful and friendly, I stayed ina superior room and it was first class with a four poster bed. The food was excellent, very quick and friendly service and overall a first class stay, thanks all.

I stayed in this hotel for three nights, along with many colleagues, just after New Year as I was working in the area due to the storms. The room I had on the first night was very cold, but this was really due to the hotel being out of season. That's really the only fault I can pick with this place - we didn't eat dinner here because of work commitments, but the breakfasts were good and service was quick, which was vital for us. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the wifi reception was excellent.
Over and above the standard service, Scarlett was vital in securing hot meals for some of our staff who had been out working in bad weather - I can't tell you what a help she was!

My friends and I stayed at the argyll for the murder mystery weekend which was great fun! We had a fantastic weekend!! Our rooms were very clean and well furnished. The staff were excellent especially kumar the manager who made us feel very welcome, the pakora which is served in the bar was the best we have tasted. All in all we had a fab weekend and will certainly be returning soon. X

I have just stayed with my wife for 2 nights at the Argyll. Made the huge journey from Gourock to enjoy the other side of the river. Starting with the booking in process to the end of our stay it was memorable. The Argyll has recently been refurbished and our room with en-suite was superb.
Dinner in the hotel restaurant on the Friday was good and on the Saturday we enjoyed their Rio RIstorante where the choice of Italian cuisine and Spanish tapas was both extensive and very reasonably priced. Dunoon is much under rated and worth the visit. Special mention must go to the hotel manager Kumar who wanted all guests to have a memorable stay and as earlier mentioned that's exactly what we had. We will most certainly return. Jim & Carole.
