We just had a lovely stay at the St Ives hotel, we were showed to the Great Cumbrae room, a lovely seaview en-suite, perfect for our stay.
The hotelier Sandra, was lovely, helpful and generally just very nice.
The breakfast was plentiful, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, juices, toast, tea, coffee and full cooked. It was also made to order so was very fresh and delicious.
Ideally located, with good signs to help you find it.

My wife and I regularly visit family in Dunoon, normally staying at the Argyll Hotel. This was our first visit to the St Ives and we really enjoyed it. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated, each having it's own theme so all are different.

We enjoyed the breakfast and Sandra (the owner) was helpful and friendly. We will certainly stay at the St Ives again as we appreciated the views and quiet location.

This hotel is situated in a beautiful spot. Our room provided a sea view, where we could watch the boats, ferries and the famous Waverley sailing past. We had a twin room with tea/coffee etc and also a hairdryer. The room was tastefully decorated, warm and clean.
Breakfast was served with a smile from our host, Sandra and the menu had a great selection including a veggie option. Sandra and her husband were a mine of information and had some good ideas to pass a rainy day.

We didn't particularly intend to come to Dunoon, but I was looking for a hotel on the internet where we could book a single room for our teenage son at a reasonable price, as well as a double room for ourselves. This was a one night stop-over travelling from England to the Scottish Highlands. The en-suite facilities in our double room were perhaps a little cramped. Apart from that the bedroom was fine. Pleasantly surprised at how close to the sea the hotel is. Nice to hear the sound of the sea from your bedroom. Owners very pleasant. Reasonable breakfast.
