I stay at this small and friendly lodging house whenever I am visiting friends and/or family in Huddersfield. I don't find it overly expensive, and the standard of the rooms and facilities are always excellent. Because it is virtually in the town centre, there are plenty of eating places nearby to choose from. There is a family feel to the establishment, so you are always made very welcome. Probably the most economical place to stay in Huddersfield town centre (if you want a bit of comfort included, that is!) Fairly close to the railway station.

I've been staying here on average about once a month for the last 3 years when I come up from London to meet with my head office in Huddersfield. The warmth and hospitality of the staff and owners never cease to amaze me. They go out of their way make my stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. The rooms and bathrooms are always immaculately clean and cosy and I always look forward to the delicious "Yorkshire" breakfasts in the morning. Can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

Friendly staff, always willing to go the extra mile to make your stay a happy one. Now living in America ( although a Yorkshire lass at heart ) I visit relatives in the Huddersfield area and
I have stayed at the lodge several times over the past few years, the last was in October 2011 for 12nights, it is central and convenient.
You will not be disappointed in your stay here.

we had a really lovely stay at the hotel, staff were really nice and helpful the bedrooms were very,very clean and i was impressed by the toiletry collection and the bathroom spotless . Breakfast was a really good standard and once again nothing was too much trouble for the staff. I stay in hotels on a regular basis but usually the chain hotels, you could feel the difference a family run hotel has a much warmer feel to it . this was my first time staying there and it was a girly weekend we will defo be staying again. I was a bit difficult to find but worth it the hotel is a hidden gem.
