Hotel location good, rooms nice, then we tried to sleep!!! Tug of war team also booked in, 2 nights of no sleep, walls paper thin, disco booming out and could be heard everywhere, very poor breakfast and very expensive, left feeling totally exhausted and so wished I had believed other reviews about noise!

We stayed here for one night to attend a party. We booked an executive room for £70 and were very impressed with the complimentary wine and water - a really nice touch. We also liked having sky tv - all for an extra tenner. Room was comfortable and warm despite the gales blowing outside. Bar food was excellent and breakfast was fine. The spa facilities were limited but fine and all the staff were pleasant and helpful - even the guy working the late bar on his own with a rush of tug of war associates who had already had plenty!!!

I stay in loads of hotels because of my job, and to be honest, this was better than expected.

Staff were efficient and helpful. Room was warm!! (If I had a tenner for every freezing hotel room I've stayed in recently, I'd be a wealthy man) and clean. Carpets on stairways and corridors are a bit shabby in places.

The room service food wouldn't win any awards on "Masterchef", but it was OK, and I'm still alive to fight another day.

This hotel is very near the A629, so there is a bit of traffic noise. I think it just depends upon which room you're in. Car park has plenty of space, although the bays are too narrow, just like a supermarket, so expect dents in your doors from careless numpties. Don't park next to 4x4's or people carriers that are likely to be full of kids and pushchairs.

Overall, though, pretty good.

Just wanted to say a massive thank you to Mick, Jane and all the staff at Cedar Court Huddersfield for helping to make our wedding day so special. Everything was planned to perfection and nothing was too much trouble for Mick the duty manager, who worked so hard to ensure everything ran like clock for us. In fact all of the staff we encountered we're a pleasure to deal with and always very helpful. Everyone was impressed with the service and the excellent food which was absolutely delicious. The rooms were clean, comfortable and cosy and the Yorkshire Rose Suite is exquisite. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a wedding venue as I could not find fault with it in anyway whatsoever. Many Thanks again Louise & Cam
