“Ok for one night, great evening meal”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

The hotel is quite tired looking although its clean and tidy the rooms are very dated and quite basic, my room had no shower curtain and a very small bath also if your facing the road you will not have a very good night sleep as its very noisy , the hotel needs massive refurbishment. One major plus was the eveing meal which was very good £9 for a 3 course meal with a free pint was very tasty, although the breakfast was only adequate at best. The Hotel location is just off the M1 and is ideal if your flying out from luton airport.Hotel is average at best.

Dear Guest,

I was very sorry to read your comments on Trip Advisor and may I firstly apologise for the inconvenience caused and the disappointment you experienced.

Our normal standards do not reflect the points within your report and we are very sorry to have let both ourselves and you down on this occasion.

We are working our way through a refurbishment of all rooms at The Hotel and have just completed the first 15 on our first floor with a further 16 about to commence in February. I say this not as an excuse but occasionally some standards are overlooked during busy periods and this combined with our refurbishment programme and the “off sale” rooms it creates in our system can lead to errors both in efficiency, checking and room allocation.

We are very sorry for this and will endeavour to improve our systems as soon as possible.

Please do not hesitate to contact me directly at the hotel if you are considering another visit to Luton, on this occasion I will ensure you have the best possible allocation upgrade to one of our newly refurbished rooms and the lowest possible rate along with a welcome “cup of peace” drink of choice on arrival.

I am very grateful for your comments and hope to welcome you back soon.

Best wishes,

Bilal Malik

“Ideal for Short stay.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

This is a fairly newly refurbished hotel to a fairly good standard, have stayed in better for around same price but was very happy in general. The reception staff were some of the most polite and helpful i have ever encountered, Kelly in particular. If you want quiet, ask for a room at the rear. It is idealy placed for the M1 or L&D hospital, only 2 miles from town. Has a good bar area, adequate bar food, good restaurant, conference & wedding facility. Would definitely use again.

Room Tip: For quiet ask for room at the rear if you want to lay in, as it is close to a traffic junction, but...

This hotel was booked for me by work and after looking at the reviews i wasn't sure. However my apprehension turned out to be misplaced and have stayed here now for four weeks.. Great for access to the M1 aswell only a mile or so away..
