Owing to a death in the family, we had to find a hotel in a town that we didn't know, and ask for a bit of leeway given that funerals are not always arranged to suit the mourners. The Pines Hotel let us check in early and change out of travelling clothes with no problems.
The room on the top floor had plenty of space for 3 with an ensuite bedroom and the beds were very comfortable. The room as a little bit tired but everything worked and the hot water and shower pressure were good. The bed linen was crisp and clean.
The hotel has a public bar on the ground floor, but we were never disturbed by any noise from this area.
Breakfast the next morning was unhurried and copious. The friendly lady who cooked breakfast made sure that she could accommodate my dietary requirements and patiently answered all my questions! I had as good a cooked breakfast as my family, with no problems of sugar or excess fats!
We had a very positive experience here and would be happy to return for a stay in the future. The only negative thing is that we used viamichelin to produce a map from the airport, and found that the roads had changed the week we arrived. It also feels substantially further out from the centre of Luton than the map calculates it to be!
