“Go somewhere else. Trust me.”

Go somewhere else. Trust me. Sleep in the car if you have to.

This is not a hotel. It is a very noisy and rough pub with a few rooms upstairs. Don't plan on getting any sleep. Rooms are small, dirty and smell bad. Almost every surface in the place is sticky. Also some very creepy people staying there.

I am amazed this place has any good reviews. Perhaps the owner's friends wrote them?

“Mixed”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 June 2011

This hotel was very hard to find but worth the effort. The room was very small but clean and very reasonably priced: 58 UK pounds for a double. We were there on a Thursday night when the Shepherd's Pie was the evening special. It took forever to arrive but again, was worth the wait. My husband said it was one of the best he'd ever had and my pork ribs also were excellent. It is not so close to Luton Airport as we had expected but someone with better navigation skills than ours or a SatNav might fare better than we did. Breakfast was very good.

“Friendly, great food, clean and good value for money.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 May 2011 via mobile

Came to Luton on business and came across the pines. Upon check in there was a young lady very helpful and friendly checked me in, pointed me to me to my room and told me about breakfast and food times. I had a double room booked, it was spacious and clean and had everything you would expect from a hotel. Later in the evening I went down for dinner sat in the comfortable bar and I decided to have the days special of rump steak and all the trimmings for £4.95 which was delicious and plenty full. Felling full, I retired to bed had a good nights sleep on crisp clean sheets. Following morning had a lovely cooked breakfast paid my bill and left. Overall very happy and would definatly recommend.

“What a Dump”

On arrival no reception, room no bigger than a broom cupoard, the fiftys decor is now out dated, meals are poor and badly presented and enough only for a child. This is a poor quality hotel with a busy local bar which makes it impossible to relax on an evening. The first comment from the manager was it was prone to fights by the locals when they have had a few. The rooms were very noisy with doors banging and residents arguing most nights, the radiators were turned off because they were broken and the shower was dirty.Morning breakfast which was described by the manager as very good was 2 small pices of bacon ,1 very small sausage. 3 sometimes 4, 5 pence size button mushrooms a small quantity of scambled egg and 2 slices of hard toast. In all this is probably the worst hotel i have ever stayed in. If this is Luton ,never again

“Didn't have a good nights sleep!!”

First of all, the staff weren't able to give us all the information we needed, and the worst part was that it was impossible for us to sleep there : uncomfortable beds and too much noise in the corridor!
