We stayed at Easy hotel for one night before catching an early morning flight out from Luton.
The hotel is very well located, in the town of Luton, a short walk from the Luton station.
The lady at the reception was friendly and gave us our room quickly.
My wife had a shower, only to realise that they did not provide a hair dryer. I went and hired a hair dryer from reception. I knew they would charge for that, as everything is extra except the toilet paper! The cost was £3 (with a £7 refundable deposit). This was fine, except the hair dryer was a tiny low voltage travel hair dryer that Argos sells for £4!!!!!! Surely, if you are going to charge £3 per use, at least get something decent.
The hotel charges for everything. TV, internet, Iron, hair dryer, tea coffee etc. But if you choose not to use these facilities, then obviously you don't have to pay. I don't have a problem with them charging, but if you are going to charge, provide a decent service.
The room walls are paper thin. And you could hear a pin drop. At around 3am, the room next door got up and left, and we were awake since that time because they were really loud, and the paper thin walls didn't help.
The whole point of getting an airport hotel is to board your flight after a decent night's rest. And if that's your intention you might want to consider something else.
The hotel organised a taxi from the hotel to the Airport. The reception said that the cost would be £5.50.
I think Premier Inn also provides rooms close to Luton, and if you book a while in advance you can get their rooms for about £35.. I can't comment on their rooms as i have not stayed there, but their reviews on TripAdvisor seems a lot better.
