“If a good night sleep is your intention, then find something else!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

We stayed at Easy hotel for one night before catching an early morning flight out from Luton.
The hotel is very well located, in the town of Luton, a short walk from the Luton station.

The lady at the reception was friendly and gave us our room quickly.

My wife had a shower, only to realise that they did not provide a hair dryer. I went and hired a hair dryer from reception. I knew they would charge for that, as everything is extra except the toilet paper! The cost was £3 (with a £7 refundable deposit). This was fine, except the hair dryer was a tiny low voltage travel hair dryer that Argos sells for £4!!!!!! Surely, if you are going to charge £3 per use, at least get something decent.

The hotel charges for everything. TV, internet, Iron, hair dryer, tea coffee etc. But if you choose not to use these facilities, then obviously you don't have to pay. I don't have a problem with them charging, but if you are going to charge, provide a decent service.

The room walls are paper thin. And you could hear a pin drop. At around 3am, the room next door got up and left, and we were awake since that time because they were really loud, and the paper thin walls didn't help.

The whole point of getting an airport hotel is to board your flight after a decent night's rest. And if that's your intention you might want to consider something else.

The hotel organised a taxi from the hotel to the Airport. The reception said that the cost would be £5.50.

I think Premier Inn also provides rooms close to Luton, and if you book a while in advance you can get their rooms for about £35.. I can't comment on their rooms as i have not stayed there, but their reviews on TripAdvisor seems a lot better.

Room Tip: Choose any room from a different hotel.

“PERFECT FOR A CONVENIENT NIGHTS REST”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

I booked the hotel without reading the reviews on trip advisor, after reading such negative reviews I was anxious about my forthcoming stay. However, what I experienced was very good, and I think the previous reviewers had unrealistic expectations.

I imagine those reviews written by old middle class couples, on tight family budgets, feeling the squeeze looking to save a bit of money and thinking that easyHotel is the same as a Premier Inn. They are then shocked and horrified that it did not meet their unrealistic expectations.

Firstly, premier inn's are great, they advertise at £30 a night, but I have never ever been able to get such a price. I booked less than a week before my trip and got the room at easy hotel for £30, I searched other rooms and found premier inns at twice the price.

I will admit the rooms are basic with little furnishings, but that is perfect for a quick one night in town for business. The room was very clean, the bathroom was spotless and thought it was fantastic last minute value. My room was very warm, to address the need to go down to reception to change temperatures, you can call them off your mobile and instruct the 24hour manned reception to alter it for you!

The woman who was at reception was incredibly helpful when i needed to print off a last minute document in the middle of the night, spending 20 minutes of her time as we tried to get the document in the right format for their computer.

Location was perfect, I parked in the new multi storey near the railway station, 2 minutes walk from the station to the hotel, then its another 2 minutes from the hotel into the town centre/mall/cinema.

I thought my stay was great, of course read the rest of the reviews, but be realistic, this is not a deluxe 5 star hotel, its quick, easy and convenient. It is the fast food of the hotel world which is affordable, convenient and "easy"!

So give them a break, it's everything you need for a good nights sleep.

Room Tip: I was in room 2.22 and thought it was good, top floor end of a corridor.

“Thank you Sukhmeen”

I stayed in this hotel for one night. Sukhmeen who worked at the desk that night was very helpful with my non-standard invoice request. Thank you again.

“Horrible hotel”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

Dodgy area, windows wont open, i had to go to reception 3 times (the last a 3 a.m to ask to TURN OFF THE AIR after freezing and then melting inside the room. For "safety reasons" they cant turn it off. u cant control the air conditioner nor open the windows and there is no way to call to reception u gOtta get out of bed and gO. Because of this constant heat i have a headache and o cant sleep. Plastic boxers as a bathroom and thin walls so ur able tO listen people in the noisy bed next door. Charges even for watching tv. Much better to go to the B&B next door, u will save 20£ and have some breakfast

“Typical Stavros...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

This hotel is fine for a very short stay, the room is basic, no window, kettle or anywhere to out your clothes, but then it is cheap. I had to pay a £10 deposit to iron one item, and £7 is returned, also there is a £5 charge to hire the TV remote control for 24 hours, pay a bit extra and get a decent hotel. However, the staff was friendly and helpful and location is convenient for town centre and the train station.
