“Best B&B experience ever !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 October 2011

After all the 5 star reviews on here, expectations for the Langbury were very high. It doesn't disappoint. Wonderful, friendly hosts, comfortable clean rooms, super food. They lent us binoculars and told us where to go to see the red deer rut, and it was brilliant. You can't fault this place, B&B as it should be, but so rarely is !

“Great rating for this B & B no surprise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 September 2011

Reports for this property were so good that we had to check it out. Exceeded our expectations in all respects and would go as far as to say this was the best B & B we have ever visited. Wonderfully homely atmosphere and our room very comfortable - with a view to die for, including the local steam trains. The served-to-order breakfasts were a treat - with special provision for our Coeliac dietary needs, which was very much appreciated. Nigel and Paula were exceptional hosts and the daily reading of the weather forecast should not be missed.

Room Tip: Room 3 on the 1st floor was our lucky number.

“return visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 September 2011

have just returned from a second visit to the langbury.(see last years review)
after an horrendous 4 hour car journey we were greeted by a smiling nigel and an offer we could not refuse:a cup of tea and a slice of flapjack(can recommend the flapjack)
as usual nigel and paula were the most accomodating of hosts, you feel like you are part of the family,an example being them using their precious time to ring around various hostelries trying to find us somewhere to eat on a saturday night.
enjoyed this visit more than last year,(which is hard to believe as we had an amazing time last year)such that we have booked a longer stay next june(2012).in a nutshell:
brilliant hosts,excellent b&b,spotlessly clean,fantastic breakfast.(and not forgetting the flapjack).

“The Brilliant Langbury 5*”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 September 2011

Sometimes you find a place that you keep going back to and the Langbury is one of those places for its sheer consistent brilliance. You’d be hard pushed to find a speck of dust here the place is gleaming. Nigel and Paula treat you like old friends whilst being very professional, they are the most wonderful hosts you could wish for, the breakfasts are amazing with fantastic choices and the cosy guest lounge is great. All the rooms are wonderful. If you are planning a visit to Somerset ( I suppose you will be reading this) then the Langbury is definitely the place to stay its well worth it and very reasonably priced. The Langbury really should have 5* s
Somerset is truly beautiful and unspoilt dont pass it by.

Room Tip: All rooms are fantastic. Book before you go.

“This was our third visit, we have already booked our fourth”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 September 2011

Paula and Nigel, what a lovely couple....we would reccomend staying with them...rooms are beautiful with many facilities in the rooms...the rooms are spotless...their breakfast choice will suit everyone...three years in a row we have stayed and we are back there next March...and will probably book again for our next visit before we leave as we did this august.
