we first tried this pub a few months back and have been back several times since then, with various members of my family and also in laws,
food is always fantastic and lots of it
very reasonable prices
staff are also very friendly and cheerful always have time to talk
very very child friendly will go back again

We recently stopped for lunch at the Ivanhoe and were very impressed with the service and quality of the food. Landlord Gary made us very welcome and took time to chat with us, which was very nice.

The place has a real relaxed friendly family atmosphere about it which we liked. The food and service couldn't be faulted.

I am a local living in the area so i honestly wouldn't know what the hotel side of things was like,so i cannot comment. However i quite often come here on a Sunday for my carvery lunch and it is ALWAYS superb,and always has been of the highest standard,the selection is huge,it is beautifully cooked,nicely presented and good value.I base these findings on the fact that i have lived in this area for over twenty years and in that time i have tried all of the other pubs/restaurants in the area. I am in no way deriding any other place,because there are some wonderful pubs in this area,but the Ivanhoe Sunday carvery is the best by a country mile.

What a difference having a new landlord and lady makes. Gary and June couild not have been more welcoming, their staff were all friendly, approachable and amenable. The accomodation was spotless and comfortable, the food was great, and if they don't have what you want on the menu, they will gladly make you what they can (I have food allergies!) The only drawback was that we stayed for only one night, but we will definitely be returning, and for longer.
