With a much needed break and our son living in Scarborough we combined the two and booked in at the Brambles Lodge on the Filey Road about 1.5 miles out of the town centre.
Lynne & Bill are wonderful hosts, empathic, personal service with a professional approach was lovely to see and experience.
The double en suite room was well worth the asking price for our two night stay, we could see the sea and the room was comfortable and cleaned to a very high standard.
With a small fridge supplied for a chilled bottle of wine in the evening was a lovely touch and we did make use of the CD and TV, complete with freeview channels.
An intercom service is provided that puts you in immediate touch with the proprietors with any needs or questions.
Internet access is available for those that require it at no extra cost.
The cooked breakfast is a must for those that like to feel full until lunchtime, it was filling and cooked in a way that Gordon Ramsey would have OK'd if he'd been present I'm sure.
I kid you not.....I love my cooked english breakfasts!!!
Lynne's local kowledge helped us to plan a day that became not just a photo opportunity but to create some wonderful memories too and I cannot thank her enough.
We will definately go back to Brambles Lodge, if we can get in that is, a service and hotel this good soon gets a reputation, so if the garden shed is vacant Lynne when I call......I'll take it!!!!
