I stayed in this hotel for two nights and it was cleaner than any 5 star hotel I have ever been in! The service was friendly and although it rained the whole time I was there and our 'sea view' room was marred by fog, I had a brilliant time. The hotel cooks great breakfasts and there is parking outside which is always a bonus. I would definitely reccomend this hotel.

We had a 4 night stay at the whiteley during the cricket festival, the service was warm and friendly and we met many regulars who have been staying for years. They couldn't praise the hotel enough, after our first breakfast we could see why. A well cooked full english breakfast certainly set us up for the day.

Comfortable, Firendly, warm and inviting what more can we say I wouild recommend this to anyone, we will certainly be visiting again shortly.

We found this hotel lacking in friendly customer service and not worthy of the 4 stars it displayed. Bedrooms were tiny with not even enough space to open a suitcase on the floor. Showers were also tiny with barely enough room to move. Staff were not very helpful and felt it necessary to stare and stand over us while eating breakfast which was only offered between 8.30 and 9am. Decor very dated - flowery everything - not to our taste. Certainly cheep but not cheerful!
