This place is beautiful. I booked one night just before Christmas last year as a treat for my partner's birthday. The Londesborough Suite was perfect. It's HUGE! The bed is very comfortable, all linen was fresh and clean, as was the room itself. 3 wonderfully large sash windows have views over the Crescent gardens. The bathroom is splendid, with a bath (big enough for two!) but there's also a separate walk-in shower. The staff are absolutely wonderful, very friendly and helpful; they really made us feel very welcome.

The hotel is well-situated, within easy walking distance of shops or beach, depending on what you want. We woke at 7am on Christmas Eve and at 7.30am set off for a beautiful morning stroll down to the sea to watch the sunrise, then along the shore to the harbour and back again. When we returned around 9.00am we had a GREAT freshly cooked breakfast which was simply gorgeous. We had missed out on the chance to eat an evening meal in the Reflections restaurant (as we had pre-booked elsewhere), but judging by the breakfast and other reviews we will definitely eat at the hotel next time.

And there will be a next time! I can't rate this place highly enough and just wish I could go there more often. The special internet rate for a suite at that time was £95 which was a bargain (even at £125 it would be worth every penny). Go on, treat yourself! :o)

Very warm welcome, good advice on local area and walks. Friendly staff. Superior room was as stated, large spacious, light and lush. Spotlessly clean. More than satisfied with the whole weekend. Ate in restaurant - faultless. Breakfast as much or as little as you wanted, superb food. Excellent location 5 mins walk to town centre, south bay and Futurist theatre Very highly recommended.

Great place must be the best place to stay in Scarborough. The hotel is central for the South bay amenities and shops. We are regular visitors and have been for the last 20 plus years. Excellent staff gave a very warm welcome as usual and excellent service during our New Year stay. Our room was spacious very well appointed clean and warm. The restaurant food was exceptional and must be the best value for money in Scarborough. We look forward to many more visits.
