Clean, modern and, best of all, welcoming friendly staff. The breakfasts were amazing - a good choice, even for a fickle eater like me. Fantastic location and good facilities to park near to the hotel. If I was pushed to make any comment it would be the size of the room being a little on the small side for a double bed.

If your thinking of staying at The Helaina.. look no further & book it ! We had an excellent 3 day stay in the Bijou Double En suite from 27/10 to 30/10. This room was nice, warm ,cosy, clean & had everything you required. If you don't like climbing 3 flights of stairs then this is not the room for you.
We didn't mind not having a seafront view as we travelled around the coast most of the day.
There's a wide choice available for breakfast ...& was cooked to perfection.Leanne was very helpful during breakfast & enjoyed a nice chat with her guests which made our stay very homely.
The location is close to the town centre which you could walk but also close to the beach.
We are unable to give any negative feedback & will definitely return next year.

most of the helaina rooms over look the sea on the north bay but it is only 5/10 minutes away from the centre, the rooms are nice and clean but some rooms are smaller the others ,breakfast was very nice and the proprietors were very nice and helpfull
