My sister and I had booked to stay for 2 nights recently, when we arrived the first thing we noticed was the shabbiness of the building, it looked nothing like it did on the website, but we proceeded to reception.
We wre greeted by a lady called "Barbara" she was very welcoming and hospitable, we were shown to our room and was given the option of a small twin room or a room with a double and single, we chose the 2 nd room, 5 mins later Barbara came and pffered a different room, one with a seaview, yes it did have one, as long as you looked through the tree branches!
The bedding was cleaning but furnishings were not matched, again, not like the picture on the website, there were no "complimentary toiletries" as stated. There was dirt and grime everywhere, the only reason we stayed another night was that Barbara was such a nice lady, her breakfast was superb and filled you for the day, when we checked out, we were chatting to Barbara and was informed we were the last customers and the hotel was closing that very day, she was the manager and the hotel had made a loss, recently occupied by DHSS tenants, who, apparently had trashed the place. We wish Barbara well, but do not believe the websites!
