We stayed for two nights at the end of January in room 9. The only downside for us was that there was only the twin room available and not a double but this can only be due to the popularity of the hotel!!
The staff were all very friendly and extremely polite. The choice at breakfast was great and I went for the salmon and scrambled eggs on both mornings and this couldn't be faulted.
We had a lovely relaxing break and we will definately be looking to return.

Lovely B&B with the quality of a hotel. Excellent location & stunning views from front facing bedrooms. Rooms & en suites compact but very clean, excellent shower, well furnished with comfortable beds & thermostatic heater. Very handy. We went in January. Parking possibly an issue in busier months. Would love to go again.

We had a two night break to celebrate my birthday. I was very impressed with the attention to detail and nice little touches. For instance, when filling in the registration card, I stated that our stay was for a birthday celebration. Subsequently there was a greetings card waiting for me at our table at breakfast the next morning, signed by 16 different members of staff! We appreciated the complimentary wine on arrival, free postcard offer (although we didn't take this up) etc. The toiletries in our room were of an excellent standard, and there was a good and varied supply of tea/coffee, Harrogate Water etc.

The staff were, without exception, extremely friendly, courteous and caring. Breakfast was beautifully cooked and delicious, with an excellent choice.

We enjoyed sitting in the lovely lounge and enjoying the view of the bay. I would have no hesitation in staying again and in recommending the hotel to others.

In conclusion - a couple of comments about our room (no 7). As I say, the furnishings, toiletries, refreshments etc. were excellent. However I was a little disappointed in the size of the room (very small for a double room) and its outlook (it overlooked the fire escape at the back of the building). The shower room was just about adequate in size. Also, I much prefer a duvet to blankets.

I must stress that the above slight criticisms took nothing away from the fact that we came away feeling that we had had a lovely break and had been really well looked after.

We enjoyed our 2 day stay at this lovely place. Although the weather was so cold and blustery outside, it was warm and cosy indoors.We were given a nice welcome and registered whilst enjoying a complimentary glass of wine.
As it was my Husbands birthday treat, I had upgraded to the Premier room which was spacious and had wonderful views of the bay. The only suggestion I would make would be the addition of a stool or chair at the dressing table which would be helpful when using the hairdryer/ making up.
The English and continental breakfasts which were served by a friendly but unobtrusive waitress was both generous and well presented. Parking outside the hotel was no problem for us. We certainly hope to revisit again.
