The only downside about my stay at this hotel is that I wish that it could have been for a bit longer. It was the ideal location for a relaxing weekend break. We had a room on the second floor that gave us a wonderful, clifftop view of Scarborough's beautiful North Bay. The room itself was quite spacious and comfortable with good standard, on-suite bathroom facilities. The proprietor was very kind in allowing us to view a number of rooms throughout the building and I was impressed by the excellent facilities that are provided for families. Most of the master bedrooms do have direct access to an adjoining room that allows separate sleeping arrangements for children. I was also impressed by the fact that safety has not been overlooked either. Breakfast was included in the price, which I thought was very reasonable, and the breakfast menu was very good and also included a vegetarian choice. The hotel is located in a very good location not far from Peasholm Park and close to the town centre area. The castle is very close-by and the south shore attractions are only about a ten minute walk away. This is a decent-sized, family run hotel and we were made to feel very welcome throughout our stay and I would recommend it, especially to those with children.

Had a very warm welcome from the start from the family that own the hotel. Had a room on the top floor lots of steps but well worth it for the sea views. The room was large comfy and warm everything we needed including a hair dryer and tea and coffee, nothing was too much trouble, fresh milk and extra tea and coffee were available on request. Plenty of literature about Scarborough and the surrounding areas were readily available in the room and comfortable guest lounge. The breakfast was very good and I had the choice of fresh fruit yogurts local produced jam and honey and lots of cereals then if I had room a large cooked breakfast. I will defiantly be back

Andy is an excellent host - helpful when we needed his advice otherwise left us to get on with our stay - which is what we like. We stayed in room 15 on the third floor the ensuite and room were clean with a bed that is in good condition and everything worked, TV, kettle etc. Breakfast had a very good selection from continental to full English, between us we tried most things on the menu and all of it was very tasty. The hotel is clean, well decorated throughout and well located for the towns’ amenities and you get a disc for free on street parking which is a bonus. Thanks to Andy and Helen for a fantastic stay.
