“Hated it!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 June 2011

This Hotel is not called the Skikero Hotel it is now called The Falcon Hotel not be mistaken as the The Falcon Inn, this is bad mistake made on our behalf when booking.
The lady was friendly said we could have the family room, but when we entered room 1 we realized it was a very big mistake, the room needed a good lick of paint as the walls were marked the carpet was a old & tatty, there was no draws in the double bedroom & there was a make shift wardrobe, the venetian blind was all dusty & bent, no hair dryer, tacky bedside table & a table lamp that did not work, there was no proper serving area for making tea/coffee, a tray&kettle were on a radiator hider cover, only 1 drinking cup & 2 glassess for a family room. The TV chanels had bad reception & all channels were snowy in quality & the TV was placed too high up, there was another TV in the ajoining room but we never bothered checking it out. The shower room was like a cubby-hole, with door that did not close & was dirty, as was the the dolls house sink which was dirty & tacky & there was a sink in the bedroom & the toilet very noisy. The bedding was clean which was a bonus, but mattress had seen better days. The dinning room area was clean, as was the plates, bowls, cups etc we found the breakfast ok. Also the landing leading to the rooms again needed fresh paint. The seagulls are a nightmare as they can be very noisy.

“Could not wait to come home”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2011

We stayed in this very unclean noisy and very unprivate hotel that was one of our worst hotels we have ever stayed in with my young family. When we arrived we were told that our room had changed and we were on the top floor without the help of a lift.
When we got to the room we noticed somebody else walking out of it!!. Afterwards we were told that our room was the second one down but we seemed to share the same front room and comunal bathroom.!! My two teenage step daughters did not find this amusing at all and thought it was very unsafe.
We also realised the kids beds were on bricks. Outside was the local pub/disco so we manged no sleep at all as it woke our 18month old son up.
Whatever you do STAY AWAY!!!!!

let me take you on a journey, i recently stayed at this 'hotel' for 1 night with my girlfriend on the 16th October. from the moment we arrived we had many concerns. On arriving we walked past this 'hotel' as from the outside thehotel name read 'The Falconers hotel' not Skikero, when we were eventually let in there was a faint smell of damp in the air in the reception area. when given the key to our room (room 5) we walked through the fire doors (1 of which was clear someone had opened too hard as there was a gaping hole in the wall where the hinge had been slammed into the wall) and the other one (outside our room) had a crack in the corner. In the room itself we were left even more dissapionted, 1 plug for the tv and hair dryer so we could either watch tv or dry our hair and not do both at the same time. The blinds did not work properly as out of 4 blinds 1 set wouldnt open or close, and 2 of the blinds didnt have a rod attached (we later found this on the floor) so we had to stand on the chair to operate the blind. we then ventured into the on suite bathroom which was not something i did too much after seeing the amount of mould on the wall above the bath, there was a shower head with the bath but no shower curtain, and the point were the shower head shouldve gone was hanging out the wall, we then took very careful steps to the bathroom window where when we pulled the blinds to one side the first thing we saw was a huge bird poo stain on the window and along from that stain was on the inside one of the biggest spiderwebs in europe (covered in dust) we had no rubbish bin in the bathroom all that was there was a bag that had preaviously been used to carry bread, there were cracked tiles in the bathroom next to the heater. during the night the heaters were switched off, i wondered why on the night it was soooo cold, but later found out it was because 1 window didnt close properly. and the icing on the cake came when we where preparing to leave, all electrical sockets and hot water was turned off at 11am. my stay was not the best DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!!!!!

“This is not a hotel its a disgrace!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 July 2010

Stayed in the hotel for one night to have a night away with my friend, Booked a twin room - the room wasnt big enough for us to walk around & had a communal toilet and may I add that the communal toilet didnt even provide sanitary bins or any kind of bins to dispose of waste - if this wasnt bad enough having to walk back to my room to deposit my waste - there wasnt a bin in there either! The room itsef was an absolute joke - the window didnt open, the door didnt lock properly, black hair all over the floor and the carpet had clearly not been hoovered! The TV in the bedroom wasnt even big enough to watch.
The breakfast the next morning was also not worth a penny - it came with a slice of cold bacon, cold sausage, 2 mushrooms, cold beans and a tomato - the smell from the food was disgusting both my friend and I both just looked at it and walked away. To top it off after complaing to the manager all she could be bothered to say was we appreciate your feedback - no refund or compensation of £50 to sleep in a place that cannot be called a hotel, iv stayed in youth hostels cleaner and cheaper than this crap! I would advise you to book somewhere else or don't go because this hotel spoiled my night! Not to mention its changed its name so trying to find it is stupid!!!
