The Interludes Hotel is a top class guest house hotel with brilliant, friendly and knowledgeable proprietors. They share their love of theatre willingly. They will be only too glad to book theatre, dinner and taxis for you. We visit Interludes quite frequently and encounter other returning guests.
Each room is comfortable, well decorated and theatre themed. We prefer Festival as it is the only room with a bath, the others have showers. Don't book Festival, please, we like it. Two of the rooms have four poster beds and all have views of Scarborough, the North Sea and the friendly seaside sound of seagulls squawking in the morning.
The hotel is in the South Bay Old Town located in a narrow street beneath Alan Ayckbourn's own residence. It has free wi-fi, offers pre-theatre dinner, drinks in the lounge, and excellent cooked breakfast every morning. There is no on site nor on street parking outside the hotel, but guests are given a permit for street parking which can be found nearby.
There are too many good things about Interludes to pick just one as best: breakfasts, theatre chat, friendly service, Festival (not for you), free wi-fi to name but a few. The least attractive parts are all small, noisy and gull like, birdis vulgaris Skarðaborg loudis, the local seagulls.
