We booked this hotel just after 11pm and had great service even at such a late time. When we arrived at the hotel we were more than impressed. walking into the reception we instantly knew we were going to have a great time. Reception staff (and all the other staff) were fantastic and very helpful. We were put in a lovely room on the top floor. Gorgeous room with all the little details you would not expect in a hotel ie TV in bath, iPod docking station, computer connections. The room was very clean and comfortable. We planned to go out and explore Scarborough but never left the hotel until we checked out! We took a drink up to our room and the guy at the bar was very helpful in suggesting a nice drink for myself.
We really enjoyed the spa and had a wonderful relaxing time.
We enjoyed roomed service from the taste bar (palma ham pizza and cream scone) it was presented really well and red hot when it arrived!
We dined in the restaurant on the evening and the staff were very attentive and the food was out of this world!
The hotel room was very warm but we enjoyed the comfort it. The bed was very comfortable. There were some nice touches like the fridge and the coffee and tea facilities. The different coloured lighting in both bedroom and bathroom gave a lovely ambiance.
we had a full English breakfast and it was delicious. the continental items were of a high quality too.
Checking out was a very easy
The only bad point of the weekend is that we had to go home after our stay! We are very much looking forward to coming back again and have recommended the hotel to our family and friends.

Really enjoyed my stay here, we paid for a superior room which was comfy and the bed was large. To get sea view you have to pay an upgrade so we just had views of the car park. The breakfast was good but you have to pay £5 additional for the full breakfast. Overall a really nice hotel i would say the best I've stayed in Scarborough!

Stayed for my husbands birthday for 2 nights. Stayed here before and always find it excellent. had lovely penthouse room, very modern (love the t.v. in the bathroom). Bed comfortable, room facilities great (even filter coffee). Used the spa facilities and theyre great its good to relax there. A special mention to the lady on reception in the spa, she was so friendly and gave us advise, she was lovely.
One small gripe though, the last four times we have stayed we have booked a superior room and requested penthouse floor but the rules have now changed and penthouse floor rooms are now executive rooms and more expensive, though the website still states penthouse floor has comfort, superior and suite rooms! Just after booking online someone from the hotel rang to inform us of this and that it would be more expensive. My husband took the phone call so spoiled his surprise. When I mentioned this I felt as though the receptionist wasnt bothered. Feel they have decided they just want more money out of people but if you change the rules you should at least change your website!!!

we have recently visited the hotel as a block booking with a group of friends, many have made mulitple trips to the Crown - my first visit.

the hotel, spa facilities, food and quality of breakfast is great and location is perfect, however the only thing that lets the hotel down is the surly, rude reception staff. Unfortunately we were not met with a friendly face, they wanted to process us through as quick as possible and not interested in the client. We unfortunately had a number of really noisy people on our floor till the early hours of the morning and when we mentioned this to the receptionist there comment was "yes we'd been made aware of some noise" - not a word of apology or hope it didn't upset our stay - they truely didn't care!. Thankfully the rest of the staff within the hotel were very helpful.

Change the front of house team and this hotel would be perfect!!!
