Great hotel to stay in when visiting the Altrincham area.

The staff were extremely helpful and courteous and were able to answer any queries we had about the metro link to Manchester and drivetimes and other places we needed to visit in the Altrincham area.

The room was large, comfortable and lovely and warm on a bitterly cold and foggy evening with a very good range of satellite TV channels, plenty of tea and coffee facilites and plenty of very good quality towels in the bathroom.
In fact the whole hotel is spotlessly clean and I noticed that they were painting the corridors so they obviously take some pride in keeping up their standards.

Also unlike some penny pinching hotels they offer complimentary Wi-Fi which was an excellent well received bonus- extremely easy to access with a strong signal -ideal if you need to access it for business as I had to!.

Plenty of on site car parking, for a nominal fee, and as the hotel is within very easy walking distance of Altrincham town centre- literally just a couple of minutes to the centre- it made it an excellent base to be in the area.

Very good english breakfast,great bacon and freshly cooked fried eggs brought out as we stood there.Also nice to have tea served in pots to the table rather than the big jugs of self service tea or hot water that so many hotels seem to be doing these days.
All the staff were very pleasant and attentive and an excellent checkout from reception.

All in all a very good value for money stay would definately stay again when in the area and would recommend to friends

Looks great on the outside but needs more thought in the rooms.
Having to pay for the parking when your paying for a room is shocking!!

From checking in to checking out the service and hospitality received was second to none!! The room I stayed in was very clean and comfortable and the value for money is outstanding. All of the staff who I came in to contact with were more than happy to assist if I had any questions or special requests. I will definitely be returning to the Cresta!!

We stayed overnight in order to take an early flight from Manchester airport. We stayed over Sunday night to Monday morning on 8/9th January 2012 and it was very quiet. Yes the rooms are fairly small but for one night it didn't matter much. The bed was fairly comfortable and we got a good nights sleep. Be aware that if you fly early there is no breakfast available. My package said it included full english breakfast but deep in the small print it does say during opening hours only. The first transfer to the airport is 4.30 am so if you need to get there before that you'll need to book your own taxi. It served it's purpose for us, I couldn't have eaten at 4.30 am anyway and there is a kettle and tea/coffee in the room. We also had dinner on the Sunday night, my husbands fish and chips looked good but my curry lacked spice. All in all it was what I expected for the sort of money I paid. The area is fairly good and the car was fine left round the back in the car park. I can't imagine anyone wanting to stay for much longer though. Out and about there are plenty of pubs and eateries all of which looked acceptable.
