“consistently good”

We always stop at this Premier Inn when visiting relatives- as well as stopping at other Premier Inns when we visit other parts of the country. Staff are always very welcoming, service in every aspect of our stay is excellent, and the rooms are always guaranteed to be comfortable and very importantly for me , clean. Meals offer a wide choice for everyone (especially the breakfast!!) - at a very reasonable cost- and are in comfortable surroundings.

This was our 4th stay at this hotel which speaks for its self with regards to quality, cost, environment, comfort and staff friendliness . The restaurant is to a very good standard . We look forward to our next visit.

Room Tip: Do not select rooms which face onto the main road - road traffic noise may disturb sleep!

“Fantastically family-friendly, wonderfully helpful staff.”

I spent two nights here with two young children and without my partner, arriving late after a long drive from Edinburgh. The hotel staff were absolutely brilliant - I phoned in advance to let them know I was arriving after 10.30pm, and the guy on reception at this time (Jordan) was expecting me, helped me with my luggage to our room, and then kindly offered to bring us hot chocolate (realising it was going to be difficult for me to leave the room with the two children) which was SO appreciated by my eldest and myself. The room was perfectly clean and spacious with a good sized ensuite bathroom. Breakfast was really good - I ordered a premier breakfast which means the children can eat for free - and there was such a great choice of things for them to eat; cereal, croissants, toast and of course half of my full-breakfast! The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, and my two girls loved it.

Room Tip: Be wary that the family room had a few steps to get to it - so manouevering a double buggy into and...

“Good budget option”

We spent 2 nights at the Premier Inn in Altrincham in late November 2011. The main reasons we chose it were the price and the proximity to the Metrolink as we had struggled to find reasonably priced accommodation in the centre of Manchester. It wasn’t really any different to similar chain hotels that we’ve stayed at but we did appreciate the free parking and the excellent service from reception. It’s attached to a Table Table pub (The George & Dragon) which is a definite bonus when you can’t be bothered to stagger any further in search of food or drink. We also ate at the La Rioja Tapas restaurant in Altrincham itself and had a really nice meal – service was a bit slow but the food itself was lovely and the portion sizes were very generous.

In terms of sightseeing, we spent half a day at Quarry Bank Mill which we found very interesting, although the winter opening hours made it hard to see everything we wanted to. Still, that’s a good reason for going back another time! We also had frankly amazing day at the Imperial War Museum North – probably the best modern museum we have been to. Highly recommended! One final tip is to check the Manchester United fixtures before you book this hotel as the Metrolink was crowded while we were there and Man U were away that weekend so I dread to think what it would be like when a home game is on.
