Pannanich Wells offers excellent facilities for those who want a peaceful and quiet holiday. Although the hotel is located along a road, the traffic is insignificant and unnoticeable. The property itself does not convey the image of a hotel with pot plants and the sight of the water tank along the drive leading up to the entrance, but no complaint can be made about the facilities inside. There are three or four hotel rooms altogether in what might have been a country house once and I think there are also self-catering cottages attached to the house. Our room had a view of the inner yard and the roof of the cottage opposite which was a pity because otherwise there is a wonderful scenery around the place. The room was not huge but clean and tastefully furnished. It was a relief to see that apart from the separate hot and cold water taps there was also a mixing shower in the tub. Breakfast was served in a pig-themed breakfast room between 8 and 9. (Well, not quite 8, but not everyone prefers early mornings unlike us while on a fly and drive holiday.) We could choose from a menu which offered more than just the usual full Scottish breakfast. All in all, Pannanich Wells is a very pleasant place to stay while exploring Scotland by car.
