Stayed here last week for 3 nights on business. Nice pleasent hotel. rooms above the pub (which was really nice for food). Found staff helpful and friendly and decor of rooms modern. TIP: Ask for a room on the second floor as its nice and quiet up there.

Dont get to stay here very often, but always look forward. Upon arrival you are made very welcome and the whole atmosphere is just great. Rooms are small but have everything you need and the food is very good. Carpark small, so get in early, but not to worry as free parking on the road until 8am I think.

Frequently stay in Bedford on business and this place is an excellent change from the normal stale business hotels. A great atmosphere is the restaurant and bar with a lovely open fire made for a evening. the food in the restaurant was excellent if not especially cheap and the breakfast was freshly cooked, making a change from the greasy buffets so often found in hotels. The room was clean, functional and ok, and some have good views while others not as attractive not this time of the year when it is dark early evening, this is not a problem. Overall an excellent place, great staff, food and atmosphere and will certainly stay again

We stayed at the embankment for one night in a standard room. We asked to be upgraded to a river view room but were too late as they were all gone. My husband mentioned it was our anniversary and they suppiled us with a bottle of bubbly on arrival which was a lovely touch. The room was a bit small with views of the carpark but on the whole it was a nice room with a good size bathroom and good quality toiletries. We didn't eat there, it was very busy but we were not bothered by any noise in our room from the public areas, although a door slamming often was a pain. At about 1.00 am the people below us returned to their room and had the t.v on VERY loud. We would stay again but in a river view room.
