This is a very good value quality stopover between London and Scotland. Excellent pub grub next door. Highly recommended!

Again our second visit to the Bordergate premier Inn. Stayed from 27th /29th inclusive.

Dont know where the negative comments are from but both my wife and I have only but praise for the Staff and their efficency. The Restaurant was busy , the food was good, the breakfast was very well cooked and served within minutes of ordering. The room was clean tidy and comfortable too.

We will return in the springtime, the bedrooms are being upgraded and completly refurbished.

Very handy for the motorway without any undue traffic noise.

My only observation is ! the Hotel Sign on the Main Carlisle Road should be illuminated at night , I almost drove past the entrance on two occasions.

A typical Premier Inn, room cheap enough, breakfast too expensive and poor quality, slow service in the bar despite there appearing to be plenty of staff ,bit of road noise from the M6, ok for one night just off the motorway.Cant see how the top three places on Trip adviser are Premier Inns, are hotels in carlisle not very good ?

Me and my husband stayed here on the way South we were really disappointed as it was given really good reviews. The room was cold and the cleanliness was not what you would expect from this hotel chain, if it wasnt for the pleasant staff we would have handed back the keys and left
