Set right next door to the train station and 2 mins walk into town centre. Swift check in. Room was big and big bathroom with bath and shower. Over looked the station but heard no noise and we thought we would. Amazing choice for breakfast and it's Buffett style so you could help yourself. Ate in the hotel restaurant Friday night and had the set menu 3 course for £18:50 and this was excellent value for money. Good hospitality tray and small shower gels ext provided. Will defo be back

Friendly service, clean, close to train station.

However seems to be rather old and worn. In need of refurbishing. Had a very small room with a couple of issues. The mattress was a disaster, single glazing with condensation in morning, TV with little in room antenna. Halls, stairs, elevator very old.

I was at the hotel on 9/12 for a girl's xmas night out. Wasn't expecting much however I was very impressed at how the ballroom was decorated and the food was excellent - piping hot and very tasty. Great night out. Well done!

I stayed at the Hallmark recently with my wife and two friends. The rooms were clean and
comfortable and as we travelled by train the location is great. We ate in the restaurant the first evening and had a very nice meal.We had drinks in the bar and it is very comfortable.
However we were very dissapointed by the breakfast, nothing wrong with the food if you could get it all at once, but a full english breakfast took four trips to the buffet as the serving dishes were not kept stocked up. I got bacon but no egg when the eggs arrived the sausages were finished. We laughed about it the first morning but thought it was just one of those things .Next morning was worse, I decided on a pastry as i could not face the rush when the dishes were brought out.I complained on checking out but the receptionist said she would get the manager to speak to us, after waiting five minutes we had to go to catch our train, so did not get to speak with him.We enjoyed our stay but were slightly let down by this, they seem to have plenty of staff but no one seems to be ensuring the food comes out properly.
