we held our daughters 18th party on saturday 7th january, at Aston hotel, A big thank you to all the staff who was on duty that saturday day and night, they couldnt do enough to help, offering to help blow up balloons, to checking what drinks would be needed in the bar, they were excellent a credit to the hotel, nothing was too much trouble.about 20 guests stayed over for the night the rooms was lovely and breakfast was suberb again nothing to much trouble, THANK YOU VERY MUCH, ps a special thank you to seyville the co ordinator of all her hard work also for the lovely card and voucher you gave katie once again thank you x x

We have stayed at this hotel several times and will return again when we need accommodation in Sheffield. We book an executive room which is very spacious as is the bathroom. Staff are always welcoming and friendly and the restaurant is good too - worth pre-booking for an evening meal when you arrive to get the discounted price. It is on the outskirts of Sheffield and not far off the motorway - ideal if you are breaking your journey.

While this hotel is very modern and OK internally it was built on industrial land at the edge of the now defunct airfield runway. When I was there last year it shared a bleak ,windswept site with a huge used car " shed ". So do not expect any touristy views from any room in any direction ,if you just want a room for the night and are moving on early the Aston would be quite adequate and close to the motorway.

new years eve 2010 and 2011 i spent at the aston hotel . we partied till approx 2 am . we had a lovely meal and slept well in their king size beds . all in all a good night
