And no, I do not work for them, the hotel is on par with Holiday Inn Express. The room was spotless, well maintained, had aircon, free internet, extra pillows & blankets, excellent tea/coffee tray. The bathroom was very clean, the shower was powerful. Management at this hotel would appear to have empowered staff to deal with problems immediately.

I checked in to my room and unfortunately some numpty in the room above had a shower with the curtain open! My bathroom started raining. I stuck my head out of my room door and asked one of the housekeeping staff if they could help. In less than a minute I was transferred to a room on the same level, issued with a key, and I did not even have to put my shoes back on.......... Fantastic Service!

The car park is well lit and covered by CCTV, monitored at reception.

The hotel is well located for travel in to Sheffield, Doncaster and has very easy access to the M1. If you are solo and want a meal and a drink, try the "Colin Public House", it had great food and drink and the staff and locals were very friendly. A taxi costs £3 to get there. You also get free use of the health club next door too!!!!

Special mention to Chris & Lisa on the reception, who were helpful and provided great service every time i met them. Housekeeping staff did a great job and always smiled and said hello in the corridoors.

Welcome Inn ....... if you are in the South Yorks area, stay here and at £39 - £45 it is great value. Thank you guys

I booked this hotel as we were going to se a show at Sheffield Arena. There was ample free parking, friendly reception, the hotel room was lovely. It was warm, comfortable and clean, all looked in great condition. Lovely bathroom. We only stayed 1 night but I would come again. I didn't realise it was such a busy drive to get from the Hotel to Shefield Arena though - I think should be about 15 minutes but with traffic it took double that.

Stayed here 11/10 for the Oasis concert at the Sheffield arena.Hotel website a bit misleading as says only "Minutes away" from the arena and we were under the impression it was walkable but we had to get a taxi costing £8 each way which considering the price of the hotel isnt too bad but it needs to be clearer on the website.

Quiet, request a room on the car park side. Room ok, nice tv and bathroom. Breakfast not worth £4!! There's a tesco express at the bottom of the road, get stuff from there instead!

I was expecting much more from the Welcome Inn than we got when I booked a room. When we arrived I was surprised how basic the rooms were, there was no telephone to call reception or soap in the bathroom. This didn’t bother me too much, however the dirty stained sheets were awful. There were a lot of stains on the wall, and the ere was no-one at reception I didn’t complain till the morning. As the hotelfree-view television that was boasted about on the website is simply the additional one news channel and a few radio stations. The air con was not good at all and I found the rooms to be very stuffy. As we had a concert to go to, and when we went down for the taxi there was no-one on reception, so I decided to mention the problems in the morning. The hotel was very busy-because of the concert there was a lack of hot water in the morning. I would also recommend you don’t opt for the breakfast as it was very poor. When I mentioned these issues in the morning, I was simply told that they couldn’t prove I was telling the truth because I hadn’t raised the issue before then. Unfortunately, with no-one on reception and no phone to call down-I found this fairly difficult.
