Clean, basic, new. Reasonably price. Comfy beds. Very helpful friendly lady in reception who organised a taxi for us. We only needed basic so this hotel was perfect for us.

excellent location for meadowhall and magma
we stopped here for one night and was very impressed, the first thing we noticed was how clean the hotel was, there was no litter on the ground and everything looked well maintained. there was a very friendly lady on reception and check in was a breeze, it is over three floors, the back of the hotel looks over a main road, this road did seem to have a steady stream of traffic, yet you could barely hear it in our room which was facing it. the bathroom had a very big shower, sink, toilet and a heated towel rail, soap and showergel which was a nice touch, the bathroom was very clean although there was a little bit of mildew around the shower tray, the room had air conditioning, but this did seem to come on itself during the night i presume it was set not to go below a certain temperature, but you didnt notice any real noise from this just a slight hum, the bed was comfty and had a proper matress, something i have noticed other hotels dont have. there was also plenty of tea and coffee supplies with biscuits too, the room also had a tv with normal channels on and a few sky channels, and it also had a hair dryer (a good one) which is helpful when you have forgot yours, it is next to a bowling alley and gym but you dont get any noise from here. all in all a good stop.

Heading from the south to Rotherham for a University open day we just needed an inexpensive place to sleep for the night and when booking online did not have high expectiations. On arrival helpful receptionist signed us in quickly and offered free voucher for ten pin bowling next door. Rooms were clean, in very good condition, good TV and shower/bathroom. Great !

We stayed at the Welcome Inn on a Saturday night. Just a short taxi ride from the station, I was initially concerned that there might be noise from outside but didn't hear anything during the night. The receptionist was very friendly and welcoming. The room was really clean and new-looking, with a good supply of tea/coffee, hairdryer, television, shower gel & liquid soap provided, adequate towels (although no bath mat) and comfortable pillows. Slightly more hangers would have been appreciated (6 in total were supplied between 2 people), and the shower was a little slippery to stand in. The air conditioning was very efficient but the temperature appeared to be fixed on 18 degrees so it was either on or off (although we didn't ask if this could be adjusted). Breakfast was brought to the room - continental breakfast with cereal (including a fresh pint of milk), croissants, yoghurt and orange juice, plus we also had bacon sandwiches brought to the room, which were enormous and great value. Overall a very successful stay and excellent value for money, we would definitely stay here again if we were staying in the area - next time we would probably investigate the swimming pool, which we didn't have time to use on this occasion.
