Having read some reviews I was sceptical but having stayed one night I don't know where the adverse reviews came from. Very friendly staff couldn't do more to keep guests happy and we felt comfortable from theminute we arrived.The room was to a good standard, for the money paid. Very comfortable, large bed and excellent breakfast in the morning. I would not hesitate to stay again.

Well well what can i say this WAS THE BEST THING about the whole trip, hotel was great clean, tidy and the owners were so lovely and friendly they looked after us so well and they were so giving towards us and filled every need we had. They were welcoming, relaxed and it felt like we were at home. WE LOVED IT SOOOOOOO MUCH and we are planning to go again.... Tina

We looked online at the previous reviews and we were unsure about what we was to expect, but as soon as we arrived we were greated and felt welcome straight away.. Enjoyed our stay, breakfast was superb, rooms was nice and clean, could of done with an extra pillow haha but all in all great place and owners are a very nice couple, they haven't had it very long but are doing well, we will definitley be staying again.

My partner and I had previously stayed in the hotel last summer. We found the management to be very welcoming and the staff and the local people were very friendly.
We decided to return for a short break this Feb and were very surprised to see the hotel under new management and also not taking guests. There were very few people in the bar area, who told us the hotel had been closed for 3 weeks and was now being managed by a new team. The 'team' were a couple who we found to be very rude and ignorant. They offerred very little hospitality and interaction with customers. It became clear why the local people had deserted the place, which we did very quickly. We will not be visiting again, and in our humble opinion, it is a typical example of a brewery run hotel which has very little interest in its hoteliers and now it seems , its local community.
