We stayed here for 5 nights in June while attending a cricket tournament in Taunton. I wish we could have spent more time exploring the local area but the little we did made us want to come back. Bartlett's is a proper working dairy farm in the idyllic Saxon village of Isle Brewers in the beautiful Somerset levels. You may not see much of Simon who is busy with the dairy herd but nothing is too much trouble for Judith, who keeps the house spotless and serves up the most delicious breakfast. You know where your breakfast has come from as eggs, milk, bacon, sausages, jam, marmalade are all home made. Our room was large, with a comfortable bed, chairs for reading and watching the flatscreen TV and a new en suite bathroom with the most fabulous shower. I can't recommend this place highly enough and we will definitely be returning whenever we can find an excuse to be in the area.

We stayed at Bartlett's Farm for two nights in October. It's truly in the middle of nowhere and, if I had realized that, we probably would have stayed elsewhere and missed a lovely experience. The room and bath were superior. The breakfast was excellent, and the owner was wonderful. There was a great pub/restaurant about a mile away for dinner.
We saw lots of little villages, and two beautiful manor houses (Fordes Abbey and Montacute) with magnificient grounds. It ended up being two of our more relaxing, pleasant days in the UK.
If you plan to be in the Somerset region (near Taunton), this is a great place to stay.
