Stayed for one night 15 Dec 11. Have stayed here on 2 other occasions useley as a stop over whislt on route to Newcastle. Easy access from M1 gives me chane to visit relations. We where in room 420 (double bed) overlooking the car park, nice and quiet. The room was a bit chilly at first but once the electric radiatorr was on it warmed up quickly. Decor is OK but the tiles in the shower could do with a good steam clean. Booking early online got us a room rate of £35.96 which is great. They do a very nice hot & cold breakfast buffet which has something for everyone at a cost of £7.95 per person. It can be a busy place depending on which day of the week and time of year you stay there (easy access for coach parties)

I checked in staff where very helpful but had to man the reception and bar took thier time checking people in.

I booked a double but i was placed in a twin room smoking at my request.

I knew smoking rooms do not always smell the best but this floor was rotten.

The carpets and materesses where stained all over the place and the room was not clean at all.

Towels where frayed and very unclean looking.
Bathrooms where with out shampoo in the dispensers.

I would not stay here again as the rooms need

Very nice hotel good service stayed there 1 night, had a good sleep, and a great buffet breakfast in the morning, would deff recommend it.
