“A fantastic haven.... If you have 8 legs!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 August 2011

Stayed here over night with 3 friends. Was the most horrific "hotel" we have ever stayed in.

1- Spiders EVERYWHERE! - Outside room doors, staircases, in the rooms etc etc.

2- Window was broke - Probably how the spiders got in.

3- Bath hadn't been cleaned

4- Bedding torn & stained

5- Kettle hanging off the wall

6- Insufficient lighting

7- Scruffy rooms in general

8- Definatly not a hotel more of a Bates Motel!

We were all disappointed in the rooms & the grounds. We couldnt wait to leave the next day. Definatly would not stay here again, Or reccomend to anyone. (unless your a spider enthusiast).

Room Tip: Don't go!

“Arachnophobics worst nightmare”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 August 2011 via mobile

We were situated at the back of the motel, top floor. This was a haven for spiders. Webs everywhere with spiders all over them. We had to dodge them walking up the stairs to our room. Our room window had a chunk of wood missing from it. the sheets were threadbare and the walls were paper thin. Would I stay again, definately not.

“Clean and very friendly staff.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 August 2011

Hotel staff organised for us to collect key late as we had been stuck in traffic. The room was clean and the receptionist was fantastic. Unfortunately there was a stag do staying in the hotel the same night as us. They tried to break into my sisters room by kicking the door and hitting the window. they also set off the fire alarm at 3am. Staff at the hotel phoned the police and we were refunded the cost of the room without asking.
Overall, excellent staff, but bad experience.

“perfect for what I wanted”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 August 2011

I think I have submitted this once but lost it. Basic room with a comfortable bed, A real plus wa the shower which had excellent pressure. I had ordered a continental breakfast and this excellent plenty of choice very well presented. The only down side was a ver poor selection of beer in the bar. MOstly bottled Lager

I booked early and got a very good rate

“Not bad for overnight”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 July 2011

The design looks like it belongs on a beach resort rather than in Wakefield. It's quite difficult to find and get too and you may feel like you've wandered into an industrial estate at first.
However, its a decent sleep if you need somewhere to simply bunk down, and the breakfast isn't bad.
